Hey all you cool crafty crafters. (tiger king reference, haha)
I LOVE crafts that I already have all the supplies for! So, I’ve recently set out to make crafts using household items that a lot of people are likely to already have in their homes. My daughters and I are going to make different crafts using Cheerios, cotton balls, paper plates, q tip’s, and other household items.
Today, I want to show you some really cute kids crafts using Cheerios!

1. Octopus

What you need:
-cup cake liner
-construction paper
-glitter glue
-glue
-googly eyes
-cheerio’s

2. Happy Sun

What you need:
-cupcake liner
-glue
-glitter glue
-googly eyes
-construction paper
-cheerio’s

3. Cheerio Snake

My two year olds favorite of all the Cheerio crafts. How cute is this little guy? I love how you can bend the pipe cleaner to make him stand up like a cobra!

What you need:
-pipe cleaner
-glue
-googly eyes
-cheerio’s

4. Holstein Cow

This one is MY favorite!

This one I created by myself, because my girls are a little young to help with this one right now. You use the Cheerio’s for his nostrils and his black spots on his face. I just sketched a quick cow with a pencil and painted over it. Dipped the Cheerio’s down in a little bit of paint and then set them down in the glue on the paper.

Thinking about it now, I could have let the kids put the glue on the paper and set the Cheerio’s down on the paper themselves. Then, when the glue had dried let them paint over the Cheerio’s the appropriate colors.

5. Gold Fish

What you need:
-glue
-googly eyes
-glitter glue
-construction paper
-cheerio’s

6. Starfish

What you need:
-construction paper
-glue
-scissors
-cheerio’s

7. Corn Cob

A tip for making this one: Keep the green construction paper in one piece instead of two separate leaves. It’s easier to keep the sides symmetrical if it’s one whole piece.

What you need:
-yellow and green construction paper
-glue
-scissors
-cheerios

I hope you enjoyed these kids crafts using cheerios! If you make any of these crafts with your little one(s), tell me about it in the comments below. I’d love to see it!
