13 Ways To Make Pancakes More Exciting

Hi everyone! Over the past couple of weeks, we have been stuck inside. This isolation has got me spending a lot more time in the kitchen. As a result, I’ve been whipping up a different pancake every morning for my daughters! All of these pancakes are super easy to make! In fact, you probably already have the necessary ingredients in your kitchen. Make your pancakes exciting and a little tastier too, with these 13 ways to make pancakes!

Apple Cinnamon

Directions:
Mix 1 tablespoon of cinnamon & 1/4 cup of diced apples into 1 cup of pancake batter. Cook, then top with more apples.

Rainbow

Directions:
Separate 1 cup of pancake batter into 4 bowls. Add 3-4 drops of pastel gel food coloring into each bowl of better. Top with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles.

Cinnamon Roll

Directions:
Put 1 cup pancake batter into pan like you normally would. Then, add a mixture of 1 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon, with 2 teaspoon of pancake batter to a piping or zip loc bag. Swirl the cinnamon mixture onto the top of the cooking pancakes. Finish cooking, then top with whip cream, more cinnamon, or other toppings of your choice.

Holiday Themed Pancakes

Directions:
Simply add any holiday themed sprinkles and/or appropriate food gel coloring to 1 cup of pancake batter. Top with your favorite topping and add more themed sprinkles.

Princess Pancakes

Directions:
Add 4-5 drops of pastel pink gel food coloring to 1 cup of pancake batter. Top with favorite topping and colored sprinkles.

Banana Foster

Directions:
Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, and about 20 pieces of small diced banana to 1 cup of pancake batter. Cook, then top with your favorite toppings and more banana.

Oreo

Directions:
Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 3 crushed Oreos to 1 cup of pancake batter. Cook, then top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and crushed Oreo’s.

Fruity Pebble

Directions:
Simply add 1/4 of a cup of Fruity Pebbles to 1 cup of pancake batter. Top with whipped cream and more Fruity Pebbles.

Sun Shape Pancakes With Fruit

Directions:
If you have kids at home, this is a great way to encourage them to eat their fruit. Cook your pancakes like you normally would and add triangle cut strawberries around the outside to form the rays of the sun. Add more fruit and some whip cream.

Triple Chocolate

Directions:
Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder to 1 cup of pancake mix. Cook, then top with whipped cream shaved chocolate and chocolate syrup. (the only chocolate I had was Hershey kisses to shave on top. Worked like a charm!)

Strawberry

Directions:
Simply add 1/4 cup of small diced strawberries to 1 cup of pancake batter. Top with your favorite topping and more strawberries.

Blueberry

Directions:
Another super simple fruity pancake. Just add 1/4 cup of halved blueberries to 1 cup of pancake batter. Top with your favorite topping and more blueberries.

Fruit & Mini Pancake Kabobs

Directions:
Using regular pancake batter or pancake batter with your favorite additives, pour onto pan in a small 1.5 inch circle. Add pancakes to skewers or small cake pop sticks with cut fruit.
