Isn’t it great when you’re wanting to make something and it turns out that you have everything you need already at home? I love using common household items in our crafts, it adds a new aspect to it and we don’t have to leave the house to buy new supplies. A win win!
Before we get started, follow these tips for creating adorable cotton ball crafts for kids.
few quick tips for painting on cotton balls:
1. put a lot of paint on your paint brush
2. paint gently and slowly
3. paint in one direction, lift brush completely before painting again
4. regular glue isn’t super secure and it takes a while to dry; try using a hot glue gun instead so that the cotton ball is secure to its surface so it wont move around while it’s being painted
Do these things and you’ll avoid the cotton ball stretching apart and becoming a big mess.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Tip for this craft: cut the cotton balls in half and glue the middle part to the construction paper. This is the best way to go about this craft because a full cotton ball crowds the page and the half cotton ball looks more like a flower petal shape than a full one. Plus, having the flat middle part glued down to the paper is more secure than an uncut cotton ball.
